Soberano Brandy: Fit for a King

Soberano brandy was created in 1913 and the name was chosen to honor the Gonzalez family’s friendship with the king of Spain, the Soberano (Sovereign).  Made from Airén grapes which produces a low alcohol wine with high acidity—perfect for distillates.  Soberano uses a continuous distilling system and the resulting “Holanda” (distillate) enters into the traditional Solera and Criaderas aging system, on average for 12 years, in barrels that have previously aged sherry.
