Finca Moncloa, reviving lost traditions. González Byass is reviving the tradition of making red wines in the Cádiz region in the south of Spain as was done in the 14th, 15th and 16th centuries. Finca Moncloa estate is made up of 14 hectares of vineyards planted near the small white Andalusian village of Arcos de la Frontera. Vineyards where both international and indigenous varieties can be found including Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tempranillo, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Tintilla de Rota. Tintilla de Rota is an indigenous grape variety grown in the Cádiz region in the 18th and 19th centuries.
