The Apalta terroir is known for a unique energy that the locals call “Neyen, the spirit of Apalta.Neyen is produced from old-vine ungrafted Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmenere from this unique vineyard site. The Cabernet vineyard was planted in 1890, and in 1936, Carmenere vines were added. ”
