GONZALEZ BYASS TRIUMPHANT IN TEXSOM IWA
González Byass received an array of medals in the recent Texsom International Wine Awards with 13 medals in total including one Platinum for Leonor Palo Cortado and three Golds.
Together with 61 judges, 69 Sommelier Retreat members, 80+ team members, and 2,875 total entries, TEXSOM International Wine Awards 2020 was one of the most diverse in the history of the competition.
The TEXSOM International Wine Awards arranges award entries by category of beverage, place of origin, and type. Medals are awarded on a merit basis as bronze, silver, gold, or Judges’ Selection nomination, which are elevated to platinum.
González Byass achieved 13 medals this year including Platinum for Leonor Palo Cortado and Golds for Beronia Gran Reserva 2010, Beronia Reserva 2014 and Poggio Civetta Chianti Classico 2016. A number of Silver medals were also awarded to Vanita 2018, Domäne Wachau Riesling Federspiel Bruck 2016, Pranza 2018, Veramonte Chardonnay 2017, Domäne Wachau Riesling Federspiel Terrassen 2018, Viña AB Amontillado and Tio Pepe Fino.
5+5 stands for the five generation of the González who have led the company into 21st century, and for the next five generation who will continue a mission based on the good work done so far.
